Who doesn’t want perfect, voluminous curls that ooze glamour? “Sabrina’s hair looks were created using a three-quarter wig, so the front hairline and top were all Sabrina’s own hair,” says Hollywood stylist Marc Pilcher. “The wig was set on wooden dowelling sticks, [which] I spiralled the hair around to achieve the curl texture, and with her own hair, I set it the same way but with a heated tong – an essential part of any period hairdresser’s kit!” However, if you want to recreate this at home, Pilcher insists on using a conical wand – a curling iron with a thicker top and thinner end. “Ensure you spiral the hair around the thin tong halfway down the shaft, and then roll the hair back on itself and hold it taut,” he says.
