TAKING SIDES

There are fears the whole Windsor family might be dragged into the brothers’ war, as the younger generation are forced to choose whether they are taking the side of the Cambridges or Sussexes. Going in to bat for Harry is his cousin, Princess Eugenie, 31.

The princess has a long history with Meghan, who admitted during her Oprah Winfrey interview that they were friends before she met Harry. Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, also provided Harry with a place to stay while he was required to quarantine for five days when he returned to the UK, ahead of Prince Philip’s funeral and the unveiling of his mother’s statue.

Zara and Mike Tindall, on the other hand, are particularly close with William and Kate and sources believe they are most likely to take their side in the ongoing bitter feud.

William is so close to his cousin Zara that she is godmother to his eldest son George.

Eugenie is believed to be the only family member “still” in contact with Harry’s wife Meghan.
