Pure makeup euphoria was the highlight of the Romance Was Born show with 38 individual looks of joyous colour placement on the eyes and cheeks. Soft washes of sorbet tones in lemon yellow, pistachio green, blushing pinks and baby blues from Mecca Max’s single shadows made for a colourful yet accessible canvas that would put a smile on anyone’s face. Alice McCall’s nostalgic ’70s show also made use of glamorous splashes of colour smudged over lids for sultry vibes with the MAC Art Library palette.
