Ricky, 32, Qld

Why is taking part in the calendar important to you?

I love being able to help so many great charities and to make my mother proud.

What’s your idea of a perfect date?

An active date that includes something like surfing or hiking, followed by good food while watching the sunset.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?

I once hired a secluded private island in the Whitsundays for a romantic picnic on our own beach that was set up earlier with deck chairs and an umbrella. Do you believe in love at first sight?

I’d like to think it’s out there, but there’s more to a person than what’s on the outside. What do you look for in a partner?

A kind person who loves animals. They must love having fun and have a good sense of humour.

Returning for its 29th year, the annual Australian Firefighters Calendar has become a must-have staple. And for its 2022 collection, there are six new scorching editions available.

All your old favourites are back including hot firies posing with adorable dogs and cats – our personal fave! There is also a brand new summer edition, showing the guys and their toned physiques kicking back and enjoying some time at the beach.

As great as the eye candy may be, the calendar also serves an important purpose raising much needed funds for charity. Among those benefiting from this year’s proceeds is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, so buying a calender might just save a koala’s life!
