Crisis talks at Balmoral

-

Queen Elizabeth, 95, is currently enjoying her summer holiday at her Scottish estate, but her break was cut short when she was joined by senior members of her family, including heir Prince Charles, 72, to prepare for the next scandal that is threatening to tarnish the monarchy. The family gathered to discuss her second eldest son, Prince Andrew, 61, as he gears up for a legal battle in a US court. Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an alleged victim of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has filed a civil suit against the prince, accusing him of “rape”, sexual battery and sexual abuse.

She alleges she was abused by Andrew when she was just 17, and that he knew she was a sex-trafficking victim who was “leant out” by Epstein to his powerful friends. While Andrew’s legal team are yet to respond, he previously denied the claims in an interview with Newsnight in November 2019.

?? ?? Andrew joined the Queen at Balmoral on Aug. 10, just a day after the lawsuit was filed.
