While married to Tom Cruise, Kidman has said her career took a back seat. “We would go to the Oscars and I would think, ‘I’m here to support him,’” she said in 2009. “I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and be seen and not heard.” With Urban, she has built a true partnership that supports them both following their dreams. “We have a system worked out to keep the family together,” she told WSJ magazine. “We don’t have the answers, but the one thing we do know is that we will not jeopardise us.” Kidman says her only regret is not having met Urban sooner and having an even bigger brood with him. “[I] would’ve loved 10 children,” she told Marie Claire Australia. “I wish I’d had more children but I wasn’t given that choice.”
