While it might take some of us a while to remember what it was like to actually go on a holiday thanks to COVID-19, it will all come back once you watch Vacation Friends. Think: the sun, the sea and the friends you meet along the way! But what happens when the old adage “What happens on holiday, stays on holiday” doesn’t actually happen?

Vacation Friends stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as Marcus, an uptight owner of a construction company who heads to a Mexican resort for some much needed downtime with his ancée Emily (Insecure’s Yvonne Orji). It’s there that the couple encounter thrillseekers Ron (F9’s John Cena) and Kyla (Search Party’s Meredith Hagner), who lead them on a week lled with uninhibited fun and debauchery.

Months after their wild vacation, Marcus and Emily are left horri ed when Ron and Kyla show up uninvited to their wedding and instantly create chaos. “The chemistry is uncanny with the four of us,” Howery, 41, told Entertainment Weekly, adding that it was “surreal” to work with wrestling legend Cena. “Wrestling is hilarious, so I wasn’t surprised how funny he was, but I was surprised by how open he was to whatever.”
