The Buzz About … DUA ELTON

NEED TO GET THE PARTY STARTED AT YOUR NEXT KITCHEN DISCO? THIS MUSICAL COLLAB HAS GOT YOU!

Music legend Elton John may be into his sixth decade as an artist, but he still has his nger on the pulse and is open to working with fresh new talents and mashing up some of his most iconic tracks. Case in point? ‘Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)’ has just been released and it’s already topped Billboard’s favourite new music poll.

John shares vocal duties with Dua Lipa on the lush tune, which melds the 74-year-old singer’s ‘Kiss The Bride’, ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Where’s the Shoorah?’ and ‘Sacri ce’. The track was remixed by Australian dance music trio PNAU, who John has championed and collaborated with previously.

“I’m zzing with excitement,” said 25-year-old Lipa on her Instagram Stories, ahead of the track’s release. “@eltonjohn I love you and I’m so happy this is nally coming out into the world.” John quickly reciprocated the love. “Dua, I adore you and it has been an incredible experience making this together. I can’t wait for you all to hear it,” he said on his Instagram post.

It’s not the rst time John and Lipa have worked together. Back in March, they duetted each other’s songs at John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars pre-party. He was also one of her VIP guests at her Studio 2054 livestream event last year – she’s clearly a massive fan!

“Elton, you are my friend and my hero and I never thought I’d be able to ever say that in a sentence,” she also posted to social media. “Thank you for your love and support. Grateful to make music with you in this life.”

Lucky fans in Cannes, France, recently enjoyed a pop-up DJ set, featuring ‘Cold Heart’ by John. “Thought I’d surprise the people at La Guérite beach restaurant with a performance of the new track,” he posted.

Many of us might not be able to dance in a beach club right now, but this track is more than perfect for at home grooving!

When New Zealand-born writer Rob McDonald rst came up with the idea for The Nancys, he knew a follow-up was de nitely needed. So the author got to work on the heartwarming, hilarious sequel Nancy Business. “The characters had been in my head for 10 years before I wrote the rst draft in 2016, and unless I write this larger story, they won’t leave me alone!” McDonald tells WHO.

With characters Tippy, Uncle Pike and Devon all back in Riverstone when the town is rocked by an early morning explosion, the gang’s next adventure is just as gripping as their rst. And now that McDonald’s rst book has been commissioned for a TV series, you’ll de nitely want to devour his new tome quickly! “To see these characters have a life outside of the books, and to reach more people, would be a dream come true,” the author adds.
