She’s made a habit of singing about heartbreak and healing in the past, but Adele is likely feeling inspiration of a different kind – after falling hard and fast for sports agent Rich Paul. The pair, who were first spotted together at a basketball game on July 17, have been getting close since they hit things off a few months ago and insiders say things are heating up between them. “She is having fun dating Rich,” a source tells WHO’s sister publication People. “They spend a lot of time together. Adele seems very happy.”
The 33-year-old was spotted enjoying a date night with her new beau, 40, in Los
Angeles on August 30. Showing off her gorgeous pins in a plaid mini skirt and long black boots, the singer stunned as she and Paul made their way to their car after an intimate dinner.
The outing comes just a few days after the pair attended Paul’s client LeBron James’ wife’s birthday party on August 27 in West Hollywood. “They went to LeBron James’ party together. He often brings her around his friends. She seems to be getting along with everyone,” explains the insider. “They act like they’re getting more serious.”
The recent sightings have been a little out of the ordinary for the star. Just last year she joked about going back to her “cave” to be a “single cat lady” after hosting Saturday Night Live. However, it seems striking up a romance with the high-profile agent has brought the notoriously private star out of her shell. “She has relaxed a lot,” says another People source. “She’s not quite as private as when she was married.” While the singer and her former partner Simon Konecki kept their life under lock and key during their seven-year romance, since splitting in April 2019 Adele has started to blossom. Dropping 45kg, she took on the SNL hosting role last year despite being “terrified” and showed off her amazing new look. “If there was ever a time for any of us to jump headfirst into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best, it’s 2020 right?” she said at the time.
Paul’s “outgoing” personality has also continued to fuel this change, with the singer “embracing” that quality and his love of being “out and about”. “She’s not as concerned about being private with her life because she’s very happy with Rich,” another insider recently told E! News. “She is enjoying learning about the sports world and meeting many of Rich’s friends. She’s going with it and is very happy.”
