1 Assign different sounds to different notifications. This helps you prioritise them. If you want to stay in touch with your children, maybe ensure you always look at texts, but ignore any Facebook notifications until later.
2 The apps you overuse are probably front and centre on your home screen. If you don’t want to check them so much, move them. Or log out of them. It will be a hassle to login each time, but you’ll use them less.
3 Batching your apps by theme, such as dating or work, means we can then turn them off when we don’t want to be distracted by those apps at that time. 4 Use social media in a different way. I follow street artists around the world on Instagram. No social comparison, no selling. I learn about hidden parts of the world and it’s fun.
