With many relationships under strain, thanks to the pandemic, there couldn’t be a more poignant time for a modern-day iteration of the classic Ingmar Bergman 1973 miniseries. The re-imagined drama explores the ugly side of marriage and the themes of love, hatred, desire, monogamy and divorce through the lens of an American couple. Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac lead the cast in the heartbreaking yet heartwarming story.
