BEN AND J.LO’S WEDDING PLANS

THE LOVED UP COUPLE ARE KEEN TO TAKE THEIR REKINDLED ROMANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Draped in an ivory mermaid-style Georges Hobeika gown and dripping in Cartier diamonds, Jennifer Lopez was beaming – and looking positively bridal – as she stepped out to support Ben Affleck at the premiere of the actor’s new film,

The Last Duel.

The glamorous outing at the 2021 Venice Film Festival on September 10 marked the couple’s first red carpet appearance since rekindling their romance earlier this year. “Jennifer is very happy that she is able to join Ben in Venice,” a source tells WHO’s sister publication People magazine. “She is excited to be by his side and to support him. They are still very happy together.”

And, it would seem, ready to take the next step. “Jen and Ben both know everything about each other – the good, the

bad and the ugly,” says an OK! magazine insider. “It isn’t a question of if they will get married but rather when.”

The couple’s Italian getaway comes on the heels of a northern summer spent meshing their single lives and planning for the future, with Lopez already plotting a permanent move from Miami to Los Angeles, where Affleck is based. Affleck, 49, has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: daughters Violet, 15, and Seraphina, 12, and son Samuel, 9. Meanwhile, Lopez,

52, shares twins Emme and Max,

13, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

On August 20, “Bennifer 2.0” spent quality time with all five of their kids, catching a performance of musical Hamilton. The next day, they visited the famed Magic Castle in Los Angeles. “Since Jennifer and Ben are in it for the long run, it’s just a natural step that they all spend time together with the kids,” says the People source. “They want all the kids to get to know each other.”

Affleck sent engagement rumours into overdrive days later when he was spotted browsing bling at Tiffany & Co with his mother and son at the Century City mall in Los Angeles. While a source claimed to E! News that the jewellery store visit was part of a family scavenger hunt, it makes sense that the couple are keen to keep details of their relationship out of the spotlight.

The pair initially began dating in July 2002 after meeting on the set of their rom-com Gigli. And despite the film being a box office flop, the couple were engaged by that November after Affleck popped the question with a memorable 6.1-carat pink diamond by Harry Winston that cost a whopping $3.4 million.

Just days before their planned September 2003 wedding, the couple announced they were postponing citing “excessive media attention” surrounding their nuptials. But it wasn’t meant to be for the A-list pair, who officially broke up four months later.

This time around, the couple will likely skip the idea of a “big lavish wedding” and instead are “considering eloping”, says an Us Weekly insider. “They are both madly in love and don’t want to let one another go this time.”
