GRETA GERWIG NOAH BAUMBACH

History was made at the Academy Awards in 2019. For the first time ever, a couple was in contention for the same Oscar. Greta Gerwig’s lush adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women and Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story were both nominated for Best Picture. Neither of them won. The indie darlings first worked together on Baumbach’s Greenberg starring Ben Stiller. Since then, Gerwig, 38, and Baumbach, 51, have worked together on Francis Ha, the soon-to-be-released White Noise with Adam Driver and are writing the script for Barbie starring Margot Robbie.
