THE COUPLE SPARK PREGNANCY RUMOURS WITH A SWEET MOMENT ON THE RED CARPET

The Met Gala always drums up plenty of chatter about gowns, glamour and gossip. But Justin and Hailey Bieber managed to grab a few headlines of their own after attending the event on September 13, with a sweet gesture on the red carpet leaving fans screaming, “Baby, baby, baby, oh!”

While the couple were most definitely a fashion stand-out on the night – with the model wearing YSL and the singer dressed in a tuxedo from his own fashion label – it was Justin gently stroking his wife’s stomach in front of the camera that had pregnancy whispers flying. “Justin could you be more obvious,” laughed one fan of the affectionate gesture. “Definitely hinting at something,” commented another.

More telling, fans admit, was Hailey quickly removing her hubby’s hand from her tummy – with some claiming she could be seen saying to Justin, “Don’t make it look obvious.”

“Hailey Bieber when Justin put his hands on her belly you can tell she said it’s gonna look like I’m pregnant,” tweeted one.

The singer, 27, only added further fuel to the fire when he gave an impromptu performance of his breakthrough song ‘Baby’ on the night. But Hailey, 24, attempted to stifle any pregnancy talk by clutching a bottle of pal Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila on her way to the afterparty – with many calling the not-so-subtly placed booze a decoy.

It’s not the first time the model has tried to thwart rumours. Just last month, she swiftly shut down any speculation after Justin captioned a photo of the pair, “Mum and dad.” “I think you should maybe change this caption to *Dog Mum and Dad* before anyone gets it twisted,” she commented.

Despite Hailey’s previous denials, the pair – who celebrated three years of marriage on the same night as the Met Gala – are certainly clucky. Just weeks ago, they were spotted being quite the doting aunt and uncle to their 13-month-old niece Iris, pushing the adorable tot around Los Angeles in her pram.

While the singer has always been open about the fact that kids are definitely in the couple’s future, Justin admitted in 2019 his wife “just is not ready yet”. However, it seems the singer’s clock is ticking quite loud these days. In his upcoming documentary Our World,a private moment between the couple reveals Justin’s resolution for 2021 is to “squish out a nugget”. “By the end of 2021?” Hailey questions. “Maybe we start trying,” he responds.

When they do decide to have a baby Bieber, you can be assured it won’t be the last. “I’m going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out,” Justin has admitted. “I’d love to have myself a little tribe.”

The singer placed a protective hand on Hailey’s midriff at the Met Gala, sparking pregnancy whispers amongst fans.

“Uncle vibes,” Justin captioned this adorable snap with his niece, before fans were quick to comment back with “dad vibes”.

MUM DAD It’s not just the singer who is keen to see them start a family. “I told you, brother you look good holding a baby!” pal Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson cheekily commented on a snap of Justin with his niece. “Let’s get to work.” The pair looked perfectly at ease while strolling through Los Angeles with 13-month-old Iris.
