Although Wade has previously admitted that telling Union about his son with friend and former Basketball Wives star Metoyer after they had reconciled was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do”, he was always going to be a part of Xavier’s life. And while some have questioned their relationship, Metoyer, 38, recently hit back at critics on social media calling Wade “a phenomenal father”.

“It’s organic, it’s from the heart, and it’s a beautiful thing to watch,” Metoyer has said of the father-son relationship.
