The TV presenter and fashionista talks style, PJs and her fave trends
How did your latest sleepwear collaboration come to be? After hosting an event with Wanderluxe earlier in the year, I immediately fell in love with the brand. With its beautiful fabrications and gorgeous tailoring, it makes sleepwear feel so luxe. I love getting into my PJs at night, it’s the way I unwind and relax. I also adore lazy Sunday mornings, staying in my PJs until after breakfast, so I’m always on the hunt for beautiful sleepwear – and I found that when I was introduced to Wanderluxe.
I feel so lucky to be able to design my own collection!
What was your favourite part about creating the range?
I loved the whole design process – from choosing the fabrications to all the colours and the colour combinations. The founder, Sherri, was so great in letting me have complete design control. I designed it during lockdown so it was over multiple Zoom calls, back and forth. It was such a fun project to have in between the homeschooling.
If you had to step outside in your Kate x Wanderluxe PJs, how would you style them?
I would do the Hydrangea Skies long pyjama pant and shirt combo with a waisted belt, heels and blazer or trench over my shoulders.
How would you describe your personal style? It’s relaxed yet polished.
Is your mum wardrobe different from your working wardrobe?
Yes, for sure. I get a lot more dressed up for events and TV than I do in my everyday life. And when I’m in mum mode, I’m either in workout gear or flats and shift dresses. But most days I’m working and being mum, [so] my outfits must be versatile to fit with both aspects of my life. I need to be able to go to a meeting in jeans, a blazer and heels, but then switch them for runners for school pickup and after school activities. What’s your favourite piece from the collection? I love the Jacaranda Horizons shirt and short combo.
What’s one fashion staple you can’t live without at the moment?
Levi’s 501s.

Summer slides. I recently got a pair and Proenza Schouler x Birkenstocks and I’ve been living in them.
