THE STAR IS ENJOYING A SUMMER BREAK DOWN UNDER AND MAKING THE MOST OF HER FREE TIME
Swimsuit model Lara Worthington was all smiles as she returned to her natural element for a solo trip home. With no sign of husband Sam Worthington or their three kids, the 34-year-old flew into Sydney on February 15 – but with enough luggage for a whole family or perhaps an extended stay. Clearly enjoying some time to herself, Worthington has been making the most of her time back in Oz, enjoying morning dips in the ocean, beachside strolls and a cruise aboard a luxury yacht on Sydney Harbour with her brother Joshua Bingle.
It’s understood that Worthington’s trip home is driven by both business and pleasure. She’s been seen heading into a studio for a photo shoot and meeting with her manager Patrick Devlin, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
While she’s making the most of being on home soil, no doubt the devoted mum will be pining to get back to her three young boys, Rocket, 6, Racer, 5, and River, 23 months.
She has spoken of the constant juggle she and Sam, who has been busy with a stint on the Sydney stage and filming the Avatar sequels, go through to make their lives work.
“Every day is different but we are very much a routine family,’’ she told the Sunday Life last year. “I’ve been that routine mum since they were born and I think they thrive on it. I feel like it would be chaos if we weren’t in sync. I guess it also comes down to Sam and me. If we are in sync together, then it works’’.
The businesswoman loves coming home to Australia, but the low-key local admits she and her husband, 45, enjoy being able to blend into the background while living in the US. “I don’t have to put on any façade with [Sam],’’ she told Stellar magazine. “Moving to America has meant we’re able to live a really normal life. In fact, he’s more normal than me. He’s the guy from Perth who drinks milk before he goes to bed!’’
