HOODOO GURUS

40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

-

Is Australian rock music your scene? If that’s a yes, we have some very good news for you.

Hoodoo Gurus have rescheduled their 40th anniversary tour, after the pandemic put a pin in previous dates. But that’s not all. American rockers The Dandy Warhols will be joining the Aussie icons as special guests when they visit all six states in September of this year.

Hoodoo Gurus frontman Dave Faulkner says, “Our last-minute COVID emergency put everyone in a ‘World Of Pain’ – shameless plug – and it took a small army of people working overtime to get this tour back on track.

“We are incredibly grateful for all [their] hard work,” the talented musician continued. “We promise you that the wait will be worth it. See you in September.”

In addition to the big-name US guests, allfemale band The Buoys will open the Sydney and Brisbane shows, while in Melbourne and Adelaide indie pop rockers Even will kick o proceedings. Gnarlhünd will then open in Hobart and Rinehearts will get the crowd started in Perth. All tickets purchased for the cancelled tour will be honoured.

The news comes after Hoodoo Gurus released their long-awaited rst studio album in 12 years to resounding reviews. Chariot of the Gods debuted at number seven on the ARIA Album Chart and number two on the ARIA Australian Album Chart, making it the band’s highest-charting studio album in more than 28 years – a brilliant start to what will be a rocking good 2022 for the group’s fans.
