SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS
THE ICONIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS 21ST BIRTHDAY!
Break out the bubbly and embarrassing childhood photos, because Splendour in the Grass is turning 21! The renowned music and arts festival is returning home to Ngarindjin (North Byron Parklands) for three days and nights of good times and tunes.
From July 21, music lovers will be treated to performances from electronic music man Flume – making an exclusive Australian appearance on the second night of the festival to celebrate10 years since his selftitled debut album broke records Down Under – and British band Mumford & Sons.
Hilltop Hoods, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tove Lo, J Balvin, Lewis Capaldi and PNAU have also been added to the 100-strong artist line-up. But the biggest drawcard this year is Lizzo, who’ll be getting crowds grooving with songs from her hugely adored, second full-length o ering Special – along with hits from previous albums – to close out the rst night.
“I really felt like I connected with Australia and had some really beautiful moments. So of course I want to come back, like, why wouldn’t I?” the singer said last year of heading Down Under again following her Cuz I Love You Too Tour in 2020. “I love to tour, I love to travel and I love Australia.”
After pandemic shutdowns and a very soggy comeback in 2022 – where many acts were cancelled after the area was hit with a deluge of rain and the grounds became
ooded – this year’s Splendour is set to be bigger and better than ever. So whether the full camping experience is your jam or you’ll be trekking in from your soulful stay in Byron for the three-day music extravaganza, this year’s Splendour in the Grass will be one hell of a 21st birthday celebration.
