Af­ter a re­cent Win­dows Up­date, my AMD Radeon HD 4000-pow­ered dis­play is no longer work­ing prop­erly – ap­par­ently the driver has been re­placed by ‘Mi­crosoft Ba­sic Dis­play Driver’? An­nie Pole

The wrong driver was in­ad­ver­tently is­sued. A fix – KB4057291 – was re­leased to re­solve this, so go to Set­tings > ‘Up­date & se­cu­rity’ and click ‘Check for up­dates’ to in­stall this and fix the prob­lem.

I want to roll back my sys­tem par­ti­tion us­ing Macrium Re­flect Free. Must I cre­ate boot me­dia, or is there an­other way to re­store my last backup? Ge­orge Har­ris

Open Macrium and choose Other Tasks > Add Re­cov­ery Boot Menu Op­tion. Choose the build op­tion and click OK. Re­boot your PC and choose the Macrium op­tion to start the re­store process.
