fujitsu Scanner re cognition issue

QOur local history group has a Fujitsu fi-6130 scanner, and my problem is that while Windows 10 appears to recognise it correctly, the software it came with, ScandAll Pro, isn’t compatible and keeps ‘losing’ the scanner, forcing me to uninstall and reinstall it again. A newer version of ScandAll is available, but it’s too expensive at $100 (£76). Advice please! Ian McAndrew Nick P’s solution This was one of those problems that wouldn’t go away – the software would miraculously work for a while, then stop working, then work again. We pointed Ian in the direction of VueScan (www. hamrick.com), which works with virtually all older scanners, even those no longer supported in Windows. You can test it for free, then either pay $39.95 (£30.39) for one year’s free updates, or $89.95 £68.43) for a lifetime license. Ian’s experience was that while VueScan was fine for occasional scans, it couldn’t match ScandAll Pro for larger jobs involving mixed page sizes and content.
We found a link to the Fujitsu software at http://imagescanner. fujitsu.com/global/dl/win-10-sdt. html – you’ll need to provide your scanner’s serial number, but if it’s accepted, you can download a fresh copy of ScandAll Pro 2.0 there.
