Samsung’s answer to the Microsoft Surface Go, erm, surfaced in the US in October – and it’s a doozy. An update to the existing Galaxy Book, it’s powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chip – the kind normally found in smartphones – and that means it has 4G LTE connectivity.

Because it uses a power-sipping CPU, the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 delivers up to 20 hours of battery life, yet still manages to pack in a 12-inch AMOLED FHD+ (2,160x1,440 pixel) display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, plus 5MP front and 8MP rear cameras and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. And it runs Windows 10 S, too.

But the real kicker for anyone eyeing a Surface are the included accessories: the $999 asking price includes both an S-Pen digital stylus and a keyboard, two items Microsoft charges extra for. Oh, and it has not one, but two USB Type-C ports – connectivity options you won’t find on any 2019 Surface. Cool.
