I’ve tried to use the Update Assistant to upgrade to Windows 10 1809, but it says I’m at the latest version (1803). Where do I go from here? Ian Brighton

Unfortunately, the October 2018 Update has been continually plagued by problems and wasn’t rolled out until mid-November. By now you should have received it; if not, download a fresh copy of the assistant and try again.

Since upgrading to Windows 10 1809, I’m unable to get any of my VirtualBox machines to load. What’s happened? Lok Yüan

We’ve discovered that the new Application Guard security feature prevents VirtualBox from supporting 64-bit hosts. Switch it off via the Windows Features dialog, reboot and your virtual machines will hopefully work again.

Can you recommend a good free email-checking tool that will alert me to new emails when they arrive? John Moore

Try PopTrayU (http://poptrayu. sourceforge.net/), which can be configured to check multiple accounts at a specified interval – alerts are then displayed in the Taskbar notification area.
