It looks like the Clooneys have some news to share

It’s hard to believe George Clooney and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal, were rumoured to be on the brink of divorce earlier this year.

Now, friends say they’ve put the past behind them, and they certainly appeared relaxed as they enjoyed a break at George’s Lake Como mansion in Italy, where they wed in 2014.

Last week, George, 55, and Amal, 38, were joined by the entire Clooney clan – including George’s parents Nick and Nina – as well as their good friend Bill Murray for dinner on the lake, dressed to the nines for what was no doubt a special occasion.

Playing the gentleman

Some fans have even suggested Amal, who was looking curvier than usual, may be expecting. If she is indeed pregnant, it’s likely she’s in the very early stages. But there’s no denying she and George looked immensely happy.

George appeared incredibly protective of his wife, acting like

a true gentleman as he gathered red her arm under his, and later gently guided her as she climbed aboard the water taxi. xi.

Back on track

“George couldn’t stop smiling g and kissing her,” an onlooker r tells Woman’s Day. “The smile le on his face said it all.”

Insiders say George and Amal mal are in a much better place than an they were at the start of the year.ar. “Things hadn’t been so good, and friends wondered if their r marriage might be in trouble,” a source close to the couple tells.s.

“But they’ve worked hard at making things better betweenen them. They’re behaving like newlyweds again.”

If they are in fact set to start t a family, friends say the actor r will relish fatherhood. “George e will make an amazing dad,” says another friend.

“And you can be sure that women everywhere will go weak at the knees when they see him holding a precious little baby.”
