Amanda De Warren arren speaks with Annabella’s cat Charlie

AMANDA SAYS Annabella’s dad comes through and tells me he passed about five years ago. He laughs and tells me Charlie was named after him.

Charlie is a rescue cat who tells me he had three or four homes before Annabella took him in. He is very independent and loves cuddles when it suits him. He is very fussy with his food and it takes Annabella several attempts to get him to eat.

Even though Charlie lives on a farm, he tells me he is not a big fan of being outside, but that he’ll go when Annabella is in the garden. He enjoys following her and attacking her feet in a playful way while she’s gardening. H He p prefers being indoors because he f fee feels safe there, but he’ll venture on onto the farm if Annabella and he her husband are out there. He tells me he loves his daddy (Annabella’s husband) very much. Some of the farm animals come thr through with very cheeky personalities and te tell me they are all very spoilt. Charlieh l tells me his kidneys shut down last year when he was bitten by a snake. He knows he was lucky to recover but he still loves to annoy reptiles. I warn him about messing with snakes.

ANNABELLA SAYS I was concerned about Charlie’s health after his snake bite, so when Amanda said he doesn’t feel any residual health issues, it really put my mind at rest. She was right about him chasing reptiles – it’s his favourite pastime so we’ll watch out for that! I love that Dad came through – it was such a nice thing to hear.
