She’s double her size, twice as happy, and wants ex-fiance James Packer out of her life
The model formerly known as Kate Fischer has lashed out at her ex, billionaire James Packer, asking him to leave her alone – 18 years after he broke off their engagement and paid her millions of dollars to keep the details secret.
“James Packer will do anything to continue to be associated with me!” she claimed last week in a post on her Facebook page, after Woman’s Day published an exclusive story about her modest new life in Melbourne.
“And who can blame him? The whole world knows that I’m the most interesting thing that has and ever will happen to him. Attention whore that he is… Isn’t Mariah enough for you?
“You also need me to keep you in the limelight as much as possible? Pathetic. It’s been 20 years James – leave me alone, enough already.”
Hush money?
Kate, who legally changed her name to Tziporah Atarah Malkah some years ago in recognition of her Jewish heritage, fled Australia after the bust-up with James in 1998, amid rumours he paid her a settlement of up to $10 million.
She’s always denied receiving $10 million, but she was given the Bondi home they’d planned to live in after they got married, a multimillion dollar lump sum and a rumoured $300,000 a year for five years to keep quiet.
But last week Tziporah, 42, let rip about her first love. She claimed James, 49, was using her to keep himself in the limelight, despite the fact he’s been married twice since their engagement was called off, and he’s now engaged to singer Mariah Carey, 46.
Tziporah publicly pleaded with the billionaire to “leave me alone”, saying she was finally happy now she was out of the public eye and living a quiet life in Melbourne, working as a therapist in an aged care health facility.
Living the quiet life
The former model and actress says she’s much happier since dropping off the radar to search for spiritual enlightenment.
She also says she’s “comfortable” with her fuller figure.
“Kate got fat! Kate got fat! Kate got fat is older news than Moses,” she said on Facebook.
Even five years ago she joked in an interview with Woman’s Day that after she left Australia she decided “I’m going to get fat and wear braces.”
While she insisted in her post that she shuns the limelight and loves working in a job helping vulnerable people, she also said she wanted to say “G’day” to all her fans who were excited to hear about her new life.
“I retired from the public life close to 10 years ago,” she says. “I do not grant interviews and have no interest in being in the public eye. I work in the health-care industry and very much enjoy helping others.
“I am content in most ways and appreciate my life being a private one now. Thank you for reading all of this. Shalom, peace be with you. Tziporah.”
