THE ANIMAL WHISPERER
Amanda De Warren speaks to Brooke’s dog Hendric
AMANDA SAYS Hendric tells me he’s still living, and steps back to let through a cat who has passed over. She tells me her name was Mia and she belonged to Brooke until she was stolen at about seven years old. She was a pretty Siamese cat and she loved to play in the bush near home, but the neighbours a few doors up stole her. Mia lived until she was about 14 and never forgot Brooke.
Hendric is very protective of Brooke, questioning who I am and what I want. After he feels comfortable and realises I’m not a threat, he tells me he’s naughty with his food and will turn his nose up until he gets what he likes. He’s a big rescue dog and Brooke wasn’t planning on having him. He ran away
from his last home as he felt neglected emotionally. A man who has passed over comes through. It’s Brooke’s dad, who says he guided Hendric to Brooke because he knew she’d love and care for him. Hendric is a nervous dog and has been most of his life. He loves the homeopathic stuff Brooke gives him to help him with his nervousness. He knew Brooke was his new mummy as soon as he saw her.
BROOKE SAYS I reached out to Amanda as I wanted to find out how a beautiful dog like Hendric ended up in the pound. I wasn’t expecting her to mention a cat that was very dear to me that had gone missing. She was able to tell me my cat was stolen all those years ago and my father is still looking over us. My relationship with Hendric continues to grow. He is very loved and nurtured. I was extremely happy with Amanda’s reading.
