Judge Judy Shock break-up

The TV judge hits rock bottom after her husband cheats

-

She sends fear running through the veins of those who face her in the courtroom on her show, but behind the scenes, friends say daytime TV’S most stern lawyer Judge Judy Sheindlin is just like the rest of us. She’s certainly not immune to heartbreak, with insiders revealing the seemingly indestructible judge was reduced to a quivering mess when she made the shock discovery her husband Jerry was having an affair with a woman 25 years his junior. In news that will devastate fans of one of TV’S richest and most successful women, it’s believed Jerry, 83, began an affair with a waitress called Kary Farrell,

who regularly served him and 74-year-old Judy at Lulu B’s Grill & Cafe in Naples, Florida, where the couple own a holiday house.

Jerry, also a judge, met Kary in 2000 and allegedly became intimate with her in 2002. He reportedly told friends at the time it was the much younger woman who did the chasing, and he reciprocated because he felt lonely.

“He said he was pursued because of his and Judy’s money and that he felt no romantic connection,” a friend reveals, recalling the time Jerry, who shares five children with Judy, allegedly admitted to being unfaithful.

With Judy occupied with her TV career, friends say Jerry’s stray was a p plea for attention.

Judyy had been married to Jerry for 25 years when she learned of his alleged secret mistress, and friends claim she found the discovery absolutely heartbreaking.

Like any woman who has been cheated on, Judy felt hurt, betrayed and angry. “Judy was destroyed by their secret affair,” a friend reveals. “She had Jerry’s bags packed and at the door.”

It wasn’t the first time Judy had threatened to ask Jerry to leave. Some 12 years earlier, shortly after the death of her father, an emotionally wounded Judy asked her husband for a divorce.

She says it was the loss of her dad, and her subsequent need for attention, that suddenly saw her questioning her relationship and taking little things – like Jerry forgetting their wedding anniversary – far more seriously than she normally would.

“I was jealous,” Judy recalls. “I needed attention.”

When Jerry appeared unable to give her what she wanted, Judy asked him for a separation. “She was havingg a bit of a crisis,”, a friend says of the usually very rational judge. “Judy didn’t feel like Jerry was giving his all to their marriage.”

But despite going through with the divorce, Judy and Jerry were quick to rekindle their romance, and they y remarried in 1991.

Friends insist it was her deep love for Jerry that saw Judy forgive him a second time in 2002, after his alleged affair was made public.

Her daughter Jamie Hartwright recently gave an insight into how her parents still make their marriage work, even after such a betrayal.

“They loved each other from the moment they met,” revealed Jamie. “Most of their moments together are high and that special feeling they have lets them negotiate the roughg spots.”p

It’s a sentiment the couple share. “Jerry has a click, he has a sizzle,” Judy reveals of her husband. “I l love him, m, and I know w that he l loves me.”
