MKR Manu vs Colin vs Pete

The enraged chefs almost came to blows as tensions boiled over on set judges’

Manu Feildel was forced to walk away from his fellow My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge, after a heated discussion between the two chefs boiled over in public, and they almost came to blows in the middle of a Brisbane street.

It’s not the first time the fiery pair have traded insults, but it is the first time they’ve done so openly. Tired and emotional after months of flying back and forth between different cities, Colin and Manu, both 42, saw red as they had it out before an event.

“Colin thinks he’s better than the others because he’s the only workingki chef. hfh He uses th thatt as an excuse to lord it up over everyone, and Manu can’t stand the way he acts on set,” reveals our source.

“It’s not like Manu to fight in public, but he’s sick of egotistical Colin thinking he deserves more respect than him and treating the crew badly, when everyone knows that Manu is the lynchpin of the show and the viewers’ favourite. He’d had enough and couldn’t stop himself from saying so.”

Following the scrap, the strong-willed TV chefs could barely look at each other.

And it seems relations with fellow judge Pete Evans, 43, aren’t muchh b better.tt I In f fact,t sources say rivalries and power struggles have led to private spats.

“Manu is the most popular chef – with viewers and with the crew. He is everyone’s mate. Pete is incredibly jealous of this and blames a lack of marketing support from MKR for this,” says our source, adding that Pete’s extreme views on health and his infatuation with the paleo diet have started to alienate viewers.

“Manu is often booked for appearances and put forward for more opportunities and more interviews than Pete. If Pete finds out Manu is doing some extra advertising or promo work he wasn’t offered, he’s furious.

“He has threatened to quit if they don’t treat them as equals – but everyone knows they are empty threats because he won’t give up that salary,” says our source. “Pete has been heard
