Chloe Lattanzi can thank her famous mum for providing the finance to establish a legal marijuana farm and start a new life in rural Oregon, far from LA and its temptations.

“I’m excited to have found a career I love with my fiance, and with the absolute support of all my family,” says Chloe, breaking her silence on the controversial venture, which made headlines around the world.

“Mum has lent us money to buy land to build a home near the farm, and now I’m just happy to have a plan that will see me building a future for my own family,” she says.

“This is not about me wanting to get high every day – I don’t even smoke weed. This is about me finding my own way in the world, with a business I feel passionate about.”

Talking exclusively to Woman’s Day, the beautiful 31-year-old singer and actress hits back at reports Olivia was furious after discovering she was breaking into the cannabis business with her fiance James Driskill.

Chloe tells how her loving mum could not have been more supportive, and actually provided the inspiration for her new life.

“Mum and I have always been close, so to suggest I started the business behind her back is ridiculous,” Chloe says. “Even during my darkest hours of addiction, I’ve been able to confide in my

mum and we have no secrets.

“Mum is very proud of our business, and thinks when used correctly medical marijuana can be a miracle product.

“As a child, I watched Mum battle breast cancer and it left me very afraid of the disease. I was so terrified that she was going to die.

“In recent years both Mum and I have learned about the healing capabilities of cannabis and seen firsthand the miraculous effects it has had on our close friends and loved ones who have this awful disease.

“We believe in the research, and I’m so excited to try and help people going through the same thing Mum did.”

Chloe says Olivia is right behind her, despite her much publicised addiction to cocaine and alcohol, which at one point saw her snorting cocaine for breakfast and drinking a bottle of vodka a day.

She also hit back at reports her sobriety may be in jeopardy thanks to her new venture, explaining the seven months she spent in rehab for cocaine and alcohol addiction in 2013 thankfully worked.

“For all those concerned that growing weed is a terrible idea for a girl who has battled addiction, I want people not to worry,” she says. “I don’t smoke weed, and since moving up to Oregon I’ve found a peace in my life I never thought possible.

“Away from all the scrutiny I was under in LA, constantly being compared to my mum, I’ve found a real balance and purpose in my life.

“For years I battled severe anxiety, but here in our new home, surrounded by beautiful nature, I feel calm and happy.appy.

“It’s been two years since ce I’ve had a drink, and moving to Oregon to be closer to my family has helped me get even closer to where I want to be in my life,” she says.

Chloe also has the support of f her dad Matt Lattanzi, who wass once married to Olivia.

“We came up with the idea for the business in 2015 when we were visiting my dad in Oregon n for Christmas,” she says.

“James and I were talking about how dire the economy wasas and how I was always torn aboutut doing music because I hate touring. I wanted to find a way to support myself while producing g music, but not having to make money by going on tour.

“My dad already owned some cannabis dispensaries, soo suggested James and I partner up with him. We thought it was an amazing opportunity and haven’t looked back.

“James has been studying the industry ever since, and six months ago we left LA and moved to Oregon to make our dreams happen. We’re working hard to perfect our product and hope it will be available to buy soon.”

And now when Chloe’s not busy making music or modelling, ing, you’ll find her in the farm’s greenhouse, helping James tend nd to their marijuana plants.

“Working with not only my fiance but also my dad has been amazing,” she adds. “Dad says it’s been like a gift from God having me back in his life full-time, being able to spend our days together.”

Oli Olivia’si ’ blessingbl i ihis the icing on the cake. “To have e my mum support us too has just brought our familyy even closer than it was before. I couldn’t be any happier,” Chloe says.
