POMPOM BUNNY

-

This adorable rabbit makes the perfect Easter gift! 1 Cut two cardboard discs each for the head and the body pompoms. The discs for the head should be 36mm in diameter with a centre hole of 16mm. The discs for the body should be 46mm in diameter and the centre hole 20mm. 2 To make the body pompom, place the two 46mm cardboard discs on top of each other. Thread a tapestry needle with a length of knitting yarn and start wrapping the two discs with the yarn. Once the yarn is used up, start a new length, placing the ends in line with the outer edge of the discs. 3 Continue wrapping the discs with yarn until they are completely covered and no more yarn will fit through the hole. 4 Cut through the layers of yarn along the outer edge of the disc. 5 With a length of yarn, tie a secure knot between the two discs. 6 Carefully cut through the cardboard discs and remove them. 7 Trim the yarn ends to shape the pompom into a ball. 8 Make the head pompom the same way as the body, using the two smaller cardboard discs. Use the yarn ties of each pompom to tie the head and body together. Cut off the excess yarn. 9 Cut the ears from the felt using the sizes as given on the photo. With a glue gun, glue the pink section on top of the grey. Fold and glue the bottom 5mm of the ears as indicated in the photo. 10 On the top of the head, part the yarn of the pompom and place a drop of glue at the base. Press the end of the ear into the glue and reposition the yarn. Glue the second ear the same way. 11 Place one of the beads on the tip of a thick needle or toothpick. Place a small drop of glue on the bead and glue it in position. Glue the second bead onto the opposite side of the head.
