Fifi Box It’s complicated
With problems in her new relationship already, Fifi can’t help but look to her former love, Grant FIFI’S LOVE TRIANGLE
Glowing Fifi Box couldn’t hide her happiness when she finally stepped out in public with her new boyfriend, Neighbours actor Damien Richardson, earlier this year.
After months spent keeping their romance quiet, the radio and TV star, 40, was desperate to show off her new relationship with Damien, 47, who she’s fallen hard and fast for since meeting him on the Ramsay Street set last year.
But just weeks after the normally private Project host finally built up the courage to go public, friends say behind closed doors Fifi is having serious doubts about the actor, as details of his past and his fraught split with his estranged wife Nicole Richardson have begun to emerge. As her new relationship is called into question, our sources say it’s not being helped by the famously close bond Fifi shares with Grant Kenny, the father of her daughter Trixie, who she still speaks to every day and increasingly leans on for support. For years, Fifi went to great lengths to keep her relationship with Grant, 53, private. In fact, she only confirmed last year that the former Ironman champion is the father of Trixie – who turned four last week – when she shared sweet pictures of them playing together at Trixie’s third birthday party. While Fifi would never admit it publicly, friends insist Grant is the love of her life and she’s never quite gotten over him. “Fifi and Grant are still incredibly close and talk to each other on the phone and Skype all the time,” reveals a close family friend. “You only have to look at her relationship with his daughters Jaimi and Morgan to know the family has a really special bond. “Grant is anything but an absent father – he adores Trixie and regularly flies down to Melbourne to see them,” our source says, adding that Fifi has always thought Grant was a good father and also admired his cordial relationship with ex-wife Lisa Curry.
While they did their best to make it work in the past, it was the distance – Grant lives on the Gold Coast and Fifi in

Melbourne – that ultimately got the better of them. Meanwhile, friends are increasingly worried Fifi might be making a mistake by diving into a fully-fledged romance with Damien.
Just last week, those close to Damien and his ex-wife Nicole – the mother of his children, Maisie, Bertie and Lottie – alleged the former couple have been engaging in increasingly angry fights, with rumours flying about his behaviour.
It’s only added to concerns among Fifi’s camp, who are said to be worried Damien might not be ready to give Fifi the relationship she wants.
They’re now begging her to consider just what kind of man will really make her happy – and they can’t help but think she’d be far better off with a guy like Trixie’s dad, Grant.
Despite he and Lisa having well and truly split however, those close to Grant say he wants nothing more than good friendship and fatherhood with Fifi.
Still, Fifi’s friends are at pains to point out she’s always incredibly happy when Grant’s around – and she’s simply glowing when she sees how great he is with Trixie.
