Shock new Neighbour! SHANE’S BACK

-

Our favourite Ramsay St residents should be on high alert with the return of Toadie’s notorious older brother Shane “Pufferfish” Rebecchi. He last appeared in Neighbours in 1995, played by Greg O’meara and now, more than 20 years later, Nicholas Coghlan is bringing his character back to life.

“It’s an honour to have the chance to come and play in such an iconic Aussie TV show and be a part of the Rebecchi clan!” says Nicholas, promising Shane is determined to turn his life around after escaping from prison. He brings his family with him, too – wife Dipi (Sharon Johal), daughters Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer), Kirsha (Vani Dhir) and Dipi’s younger sister, Mishti Sharma (Scarlet Vas).

“Shane has made a very deliberate attempt to turn his life around. He wants to be a good brother but there are secrets that plague his return,” teases Nicholas, who says he drew on his own real-life experiences to nail the role.

“I was a ‘bad boy’ when I was younger – getting in fights, talking back to adults… I always seem to get myself into silly situations, thankfully never to the degree that Shane has been caught up in!”
