And Woman’s Day can reveal it was the tragic, untimely death of her 19-year-old brother Eric in a 2010 motorcycle accident that led to her descent. In addition to her outrageous online antics, she also suffered from what she herself has described as a “serious drinking problem”.
“She has been through multiple stints in rehab to get herself straight,” says a friend of Kaitlyn. “Sheh is soberb now anddhhas beenb for a few years – she won’t even touch a drink.”
However, Kaitlyn remains heartbroken by her loss, and regularly uploads photos of her beloved younger sibling to her social media accounts.
One of the latest, posted in July last year, was a beautiful throwback photo of the pair.
“Me and baby Eric! #throwback #misshim #memories #rip”, she captioned the snap of the smiling duo on Instagram.
