With early start times and plenty of travel, Edwina says she and Neil have a surprising way of keeping the romance alive – separate bedrooms!

“Probably the secret to our relationship is we sleep apart,” she says, adding that when they tried to share a bed in the early days of their romance it led too tiredness and resentment, with the ringing of the alarm clock at 3am.

To compensate, the duo have a noticeboard in the kitchen on which they leave each other loving notes as they pass like ships in the night due to their hectic schedules.

“It can’t be a chore, it has to be something nice,” she says of their sweet ritual. “One time I remember we had a big fight at night time and the next morning he wrote, ‘I love you even when I hate you’.you’.””
