Woman’s Day (Australia)

Hi everyone!

-

As the youngest of six kids and from an Irish clan of millions of nieces, nephews, cousins and random Irish backpackers who turn up to our Sunday arvo affairs, I’m at a birthday party about once a week. And during “March Madness” we’re blowing out candles just about every day! One year, two of my sisters actually gave birth on the same day which, until I came across the Crompton family of Albury-wodonga in this week’s issue, I thought was really something. You see, the Cromptons (on p36) absolutely smash the Connolly record with four of them celebrating their birthday this Wednesday – the odds of which are 17 billion to one! Speaking of birthdays, this week marks the start of Princess Charlotte’s terrible twos and, going by her mum’s revealing interview on page 10, Kate’s just like any other mum of a toddler – not too posh for a bit of Peppa Pig! Seriously though, how refreshing to hear even royalty succumbs to the electronic babysitter every now and then. But a word of advice, Kate – at just three minutes an episode, you might want to find a longer cartoon… just saying!
