As Andy Lee and Rebecca Harding stepped out together at television’s night of nights, rumours swirled that the radio star is finally ready to walk down the aisle with his girlfriend. And with Rebecca wearing what looked to be the bridal frock of her dreams, Woman’s Day couldn’t help but ask – is a wedding on the cards?
The glamorous couple rekindled their relationship five months ago after parting ways in mid-2016, and according to a friend of the part-time model, she won’t stick around if he fails to commit this time.
“Andy knows how serious Bec is about their future together and she has walked away from their relationship before when he refused to get serious,” says our source.
When questioned at the Logies, Andy coyly agreed he and Bec, 25, looked like they were ready to say “I I do”do that very night. His co co-starstar Hamish Blake seemed to confirm the happy news.
“It would be a marriage of entertainment, fashion and style – three cheers to the bride and groom!” he declared.
Bec hasn’t been shy about sharing their relationship with fans on social media since the couple reunited in December.
“Too much fun with this guy! I can’t wait for everyone to see more of the new show he’s been working so hard on. True Story is going to be incredible!” she captioned one loved-up image of the pair on Instagram.
And while the 35-year-old comedian may have seemed commitment-phobic in the past, with ex-girlfriend Megan Gale recently announcing her second pregnancy and Hamish’s wife Zoe Foster Blake also pregnant again, perhaps “Uncle Andy” is finally ready to settle down.
Andy and Bec met while she was working as a waitress in a Melbourne cafe. “I was trying to chat to her, so I was ordering a lot,” he revealed to his radio listeners at the time.
Andy says every time Rebecca came around to his table, he tried to drum up the courage to ask her out, before finally leaving his email address on a napkin.
Now, with Andy winding down his gruelling radio schedule, he’ll have plenty of time for wedding planning with his potential bride-to-be. Keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement!
