From the moment Jake Ryan started filming on Home and Away earlier this year it was clear to onlookers that he only had eyes for one person – popular leading lady Pia Miller.
According to sources, Jake – who will appear on air in July – was immediately smitten, and doggedly pursued the 33-year-old actress, showering her with compliments and telling mates he’s won her heart.
“Jake was red hot for Pia from the moment he walked on set, and made no secret of it,” our Home and Away insider says.
“He flirted up a storm and I know he bombarded her with texts – to the point that she actually asked him to stop because she was seeing someone else.”
That someone else is former model Tyson Mullane. The pair confirmed their romance in February 2016 and have been, by all accounts, loved up since then.
However handsome Jake, also 33, wouldn’t give up without a fight, says our trusty source.
“Eventually he wore Pia down with his charm offensive and he says they’ve ve started seeing each other,” the insider reveals.
This news comes hot on the heels of pictures of the pair filming scenes in which their characters – police officer Katarina Chapman and mystery bad boy Robbo – appear to be getting intimate.
Friends of the hunky actor, who has previously appeared in Underbelly: Razor and Baz Luhrmannnn flick The Great Gatsby, say they are unsurprised a persistent Jake eventually managed to woo Pia.
According to insiders, it’s not the first time he’s romanced a co-star.
“Jake has a reputation of falling for his leading ladies, so we all thought it was only a matter of time until he and Pia were an item,” one friend says, adding Jake recently boasted of his conquest.conqu
