Schapelle’s missing millions WHERE DID THEY GO?

-

If the rumours were true, Schapelle would have millions to spend on building a new life in Australia.

But Mercedes insists nothing could be further from the truth. She denies there was ever a “secret jackpot” of money squirrelled away for her sister, and says that when Schapelle arrives home, she will have nothing.

Schapelle’s extended family members are rumoured to have pocketed millions from multiple media deals over the years and a court case against Channel Seven, but Mercedes says she is now a stru struggling ruggling single m mum and her

family are ba battlers.

“There has never been any basis for these stories about the millions we supposedly have in the bank,” she confirms to Woman’s Day.

“I don’t have millions of dollars, it’s definitely not true. I’m not a millionaire but legal fees came to millions.

“People don’t realise we had to sell our family business and even our cars to pay the bills. I think it even cost me my marriage.”

Mercedes, who owns the house where Schapelle will live, recently lost her remaining life savings after falling out with her partner in a new restaurant they opened in Coolangatta last year, but which has since closed.
