Love Child leading actress Jessica Marais promises big g things for the fourth season n of the Nine drama, especially when it comes to her character Joan’s love-life!
The Logie winner says Ronan Keating – playing Dr Lawrence Faber, Joan’s ex-fiance who is determined to win her back – has served as a fantastic addition to the already outstanding cast.
“He is so professional, and such an incredible talent – and so nice as well!” Jess tells Woman’s Day of the former Boyzone singer, who will hit screens next month.
Now that Joan is a single mum after hubby Jim (Matthew Le Nevez) left her last season, Jess – who is a mum herself to daughter Scout, five, with ex James Stewart – says she relates more than ever to her character.
“I think we both have resilience and empathy,” she says. “Over the course of four seasons, Joan has taught me how to stand in your power and have the courage of your convictions.”
