Woman’s Day (Australia)

THE KIDS ARE OUT OF CONTROL!

-

While the world’s eyes were on the English countryside as Pippa and James exchanged vows, insiders reveal drama was unfolding behind the scenes.

The bride and groom looked elegant and thrilled by the day’s events but photos of Prince George crying – and his mother Kate scolding him – made it clear his high-profile role as one of eight pint-sized attendants did not go as perfectly as hoped. Some reports claimed Kate told George off after he stepped on his aunt’s $70,000 wedding dress, but Woman’s Day can reveal his tears were part of a big royal meltdown!

A source close to royal nanny Maria Borrallo says George’s tantrum was partly caused by hunger. “He was fed before the event but he has a big appetite and really wanted something to eat, so he was getting crankier

and crankier as the ceremony went on,” the guest says.

“He kept saying, ‘Mummy, I am hungry, when do we eat?’ And Kate was trying to keep a poker face as she had to oversee all the little ushers and bridesmaids.”

From then on, George became increasingly miserable. “Prince George started calling Charlotte names and chasing her around the bride,” our source says. “He called her ‘poo-poo’ and tried to push her down. That’s when furious Kate intervened.

“Kate is extremely embarrassed her ‘angry mummy face’, as George calls it, is all over the internet but we can understand she had a tall order coping with a three-year-old and two-year-old at a public event.”

In the lead-up to the wedding, Kate had a few concerns, and her fears came true. “She said they were all looking forward to her sister’s wedding but she was a bit worried about how her children might behave,” guest Andrew Bates said.

It seems George ended up in the naughty corner… again!
