June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. With around 15,000 Aussies diagnosed with bowel cancer every year, it’s the second biggest cancer killer after lung cancer. The good news is, 90 per cent of cases can be treated if caught early. He Here’s what you need to watch out for:

Changes in bowel habits including diarrhoea or constipati­on • Blood in your bowel movement • Unusual abdominal pain or persistent bloating • Unexplaine­d weight loss • Anaemia
