Berni reveals: ‘I don’t see my dad!’

She’s rarely seen without a smile, but Berni has had a rocky ride when it comes to her relationship with her dad.

The bubbly star admits she didn’t even tell her father she was going on the show – and hasn’t spoken to him for years.

“We had a bit of a falling out,” she tells Woman’s Day. “It was just a difference of opinion. I needed to take some time away from the situation and come back and look at it with a fresh pair of eyes. We still contact each other every once in a while, but not like we used to.”

Fortunately, Berni, 24, has her “biggest supporter” by her side – her mother.

“My mum was 21 when she had me. She went through quite a bit raising me as a single parent, but now we’ve forged this amazing bond. It’s just been the two of us,” she adds with obvious respect.
