Since his reported fight with h eldest son Maddox and bitter split with Angelina Jolie last September, Bradd Pitt has done everything in his power to make amends.

Newly sober, the Hollywood star has spoken openly of how important it is to him to be a better father and the work he’s putting in to achieve that.

But in a cruel blow, Angelina left 53-year-old Brad completelyy heartbroken when she took theirr children away from him once more – on the one day he’d love to be with them – Father’s Day.

Instead of celebrating in the US with his brood, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, 2, Shiloh, 11, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, Brad was left home alone while the children jetted to Ethiopia with their mum Ange, 42.

While several of the kids were spotted being dropped off at Brad’s LA home a day earlier, they returned to Ange just a couple of hours later.

And as his mates spent the following day posting pics on social media as they shared special moments with their kids, , the devastated actor was missingg his children more than ever.

Publicly it was thought divorcee negotiations between Brad and Angelina had taken a more positive turn in recent months, but friends say behind the scenesnes things couldn’t be worse.

“After months of mediation and negotiations between their lawyers and a private judge, it looked as if they were finally about to agree on a settlement, but it all crumbled when Angelina backed out of an agreement to give Brad more custody at the last minute, causing him to stall altogether,” one insider tells Woman’s Day.

“This has been the route Brad was desperately trying to avoid, but it seems they’ve reached the point of no return.”
