Beauty Makeup at every price point, Soap… the new way!

When I found outut I only had $25 to spend, I freaked. But never fear ladies – I found four stellar beauty products and turned them into multi-taskinglti tasking gems gems. Instead of the typical 12 12-piecepiece kit I use each morning morning, to keep it

THE BUYS I hit up my local Woolies to buy MUD foundation for only $6 – I rank it up there with any exy foundation. I apply it with a base brush and build it up around my problem zones, like dark undereye circles and red chin. Next, I head to Daiso, a Japanese discount chain store, and buy an old-school eye pencil for $2.80. I’m pretty picky when it comes to eyeliner but this one does the trick. I can’t afford to buy an eyebrow pencil on this budget, so instead, I use mascara – but since it’s black, I go lightly.

STAR BUY A medium-toned pink – not too light or brightg – the Designerg Brands lipstick is a corker, and also works a treat on my cheeks when blush isn’t an affordable option. I apply it to my eyelids instead of eyeshadow, too, and at 3pm it’s still there. Genius! THE BUYS I’m all about coverage so I skipped all the way to the till when I came across this DB stick foundation. While it’s not promoted as a foundation and concealer in one, it actually does just that. To conceal, I use my fingertips and dot and pat where needed. I love my lashes to be dramatic morning and night, and this Essence mascara made them look ultra-black and voluminous. The wand gets a bit clumpy so make sure you wipe any excess off before applying. A rosy glow is what I’m all about, so I spend a bit more on lippie so I can apply it to my cheeks, too. I draw a cross on each cheek and blend it using a makeup sponge.

STAR BUY Winter is here so bronzer is a must. I’m stoked to discover this Ulta3 contour kit, which comes with a bronzer, highlighter and blush in one. I sweep the bronzer in a “3” shape down each side of my face for a hint of colour. And I use the highlighter across the tops of my cheeks and on my eyelids for a gorgeous glow.

THE BUYS Hydrating and creamy, the Covergirl foundation glides on easily while giving my skin medium coverage. A little goes a long way, so I only need one pump each time. So I go for a blurring Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-fatigue Concealer that perfectly covers up my growing under-eye bags. When it comes to eyes, I bring a brown mascara so I can also use it to groom my brows. And I can’t forget the lips – I have a lot of love for this L’oreal Paris long-wear lip gloss – it’s strongly pigmented and the bent-tipped wand makes it super easy to perfect your lip shape.

STAR BUY This Models Prefer strobing palette is the bomb! It does everything and has a tone to suit every skin colour. It’s pretty shimmery, so expect to shine.
