Bec Hewitt Has she snapped?

Stressed out and lonely, Bec Hewitt may have reached breaking point

-

After she all but disappeared from the spotlight over the past few months, there was no hiding Bec Hewitt’s latest public appearance – what looked to be a very heated showdown in the middle of a Melbourne street!

Emerging from a Pilates class last week, the stressed-out mum shocked locals when she appeared to lose her cool with a friend and was caught gesticulating wildly as she confronted her on the roadside.

Seemingly on the verge of tears, an overwhelmed Bec looked at breaking point as her emotions bubbled over.

“Bec looked totally stressed out, she was waving her arms and had tears welling up in her eyes,” one shopper revealed.

“There was no lead-up but Bec was very animated,” claims another, who says the women left separately.

What’s even more shocking about the public spat is that it’s out of character for Bec, 33, who likes to think of herself as always being calm and measured.

“Bec prides herself on being happy-go-lucky and rarely ever loses her temper in public. She even hates it when the kids play up when there are people watching,” a close friend explains.

Also adding to concern for Bec was her appearance – she looked worryingly rundown, her skin showing the effects of stress. While it’s not known exactly what sparked Bec’s public outburst, friends believe the pressure of her marriage to Lleyton, and bringing up their children – Mia, 11, Cruz, eight, and six-year-old Ava – without their dad around full-time could be getting her down. After finally realising her dream of moving back to Melbourne in 2016 with the hopes of relaunching her career, the former Home And Away star was dealt a sad case of deja vu.

Once again she was forced to choose between either moving back to the Bahamas or living without her husband for large chunks of time – after he signed up to train young tennis stars at an elite school in the Bahamas in March.

“Bec’s at her wit’s end as she tries to settle back into life in Australia,” tells a family friend, adding that with the tennis champ in Europe in recent weeks, it’s been really tough.

“They’ve barely spent any time together lately and it’s making her miserable.”
