AMANDA SAYS

Zander comes straight through and tells me he is one year old. He’s been with Renee and her partner for only a couple of months. He is very intelligent, cheeky and excitable with a gentle nature, but says he’s been naughty lately. Zander tells me he came to Renee as a foster dog and loved being there from the first moment, but was later sent to another home. He played up badly there, attacking a shih tzu and injuring it. He admits he deliberately did this so he could go back to Renee. He tells Renee if she sends him away again he will do exactly the same, and he knew that Renee would be his permanent owner from the time they met. Zander is a very protective dog and questions who I am when I first connect to him. He is a rescue dog and is aggressive over food

RENEE SAYS

I’ve been a follower of Amanda for a while and I reached out to her to find out whether I did the right thing adopting one of my foster dogs. Not only did Amanda confirm this, she also brought tears to my eyes when she said Zander and I were meant to be together. It’s been incredible to watch Zander become cheekier after learning that he can stay. He’s not walking on eggshells anymore! Amanda also put me at ease when she mentioned Zander’s incident. I thought he was lashing out, and after his past neglect I knew he deserved a loving home. I love having Zander as a part of my family.
