Waleed + Susan’s luxe cottage

- Richmond, Melbourne

Gold Logie winner and The Project host Waleed Aly purchased a $2.1 million Richmond property earlier this year, just months after claiming prices in the area were too expensive. The heritage cottage – located a stone’s throw from Ten’s South Yarra studios and near Barkly Gardens – has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and Waleed and his academic wife Dr Susan Carland, who have two children, get the whole top floor to themselves. Talk about every parent’s dream! Waleed also has strong connections to the area. In 2001 he appeared as the mascot for AFL team the Richmond Tigers, and in his 2016 Gold Logie acceptance speech he gave a shout-out to “this guy called Demitri” – the owner of his favourite Richmond restaurant, Demitri’s Feast!

?? ?? The courtyard is great for entertaining. Waleed and Susan have their own parents’ retreat upstairs. Polished floors add a luxe look.
