Jen Aniston
The actress is heartbroken by her husband’s decision to leave the family home – again
Pregnant… and alone
It’s news she’s longed for – a baby is on the way for Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux.
But Jen’s happiness has turned to heartbreak because rather than the news bringing them together, it turns out Justin is set to be farther away than ever!
According to friends close to the couple, the actor is seriously considering taking a film role in New Zealand, which will see him spend eight months away from their Beverly Hills home. Not only will this mean he’ll miss the joy of watching his wife’s pregnancy progress, he may also miss the birth of his firstborn, due to arrive just prior to Jen’s 49th birthday next February.
“Jen’s been a mess since Justin broke the news to her,” a friend of the actress tells Woman’s Day. “It’s a move she fears could tear them apart.”
The tension between the pair was obvious at a recent dinner in West Hollywood where, in front of shocked A-list friends, including Jen’s former
co-star and best friend Courteney Cox, they had a furious row over the issue.
“Courteney spent a good 30 minutes comforting Jen in their chauffeured car after the meal,” says a source. “She was in tears.”
While the pair usually keep up a happy public face, rumours have long existed that the marriage between Jen and her second husband Justin, 45, is less than rock solid.
With Justin openly preferring his home base of New York – Jen is an LA girl through-and-through – they’ve often spent extended periods of time apart.
But now that she’s expecting, Jen was sure things would change. So news that Justin is considering leaving the country again – he spent several months in Australia last year while filming his TV series The Leftovers – has hit the Friends star hard.
“Jen’s begged Justin not to take the job in this film – details of which are hush-hush for now – but he insists this could be the role which propels him from a TV star to an Oscar-winning actor, and he would end up resenting her if he turned down the role out of guilt,” says our source.
This attitude from her husband of less than two years is salt in the

wound for Jen who, friends say, has used all of her LA connections to line up plum Hollywood jobs for him.
“Jen has repeatedly tried to encourage Justin to make a go of things in LA,” says our insider.
“She’s opened so many doors, which has seen him called up for numerous castings. So she feels by taking a job in New Zealand instead, Justin is purposely spending time away from her. They both know this move could end up destroying the relationship, which is something that would obviously break her heart.”
For now, Jen is trying to stay positive and keep their happy news front of mind. And while he’s home, Justin has been making sure to lavish extra attention on his wife. For her part, Jen can’t wipe the smile off her face whenever she thinks about their upcoming bundle of joy.
“She couldn’t be more excited to start a family after years of wanting a baby of her own.”
