Welcome to Winterfell!

-

Home to mmore Seven Kingdomkingdoms locations than anywhanywhere else in the world, Northern Ireland is a mumust-visit for fans. Winterfewinterfell is Castle Ward in County Down and, just like the Ststark ancestral home, the house has been in the same family since the 16th centurycentury. Visitors can try on costcostumes, feast on a medieval bbanquet and try their hand at archery in the same spospot as Jon Snow (pictured). At the Dark Hedges – an avenue of 200-year-old beech trees – you’ll see part of the Kingsroad where young Arya fled the Lannisters. On the craggy, windswept Antrim Plateau, you can relive the moment Sansa learns from Littlefinger that she is betrothed to Ramsay Bolton. At pristine Downhill Beach you’ll see Mussenden Temple, where Stannis Baratheon rejects the old gods, and down on the sands you’ll recall the sacrificial fires of the Red Priestess to the Lord of Light. Remember when Melisandre gave birth to a scary shadow demon? That was filmed in the nearby 400-million-year-old Cushendun Caves.
